Sliver of Hope

Thoughts while taking this picture -
There is a whole past shining upon us
Reflections of war, tragedies, acheivement, joy, pleasure............
History is in a constant process of being created
You are always standing at the crossroads between the past and the future
Darkness within you is bound to come at different points of time
But there is a sliver of hope
There is always that beyond
Grab it while you can..........

@keshi
hope is what makes us get up in the morning - maybe something will come out of todays labor of living life

true. history is being created constently - and the path we choose - let it be one which wont make us repent over the deed we did after years down the lane.

there is a saying in Russian - Hope dies as the last one meaning that even when your mind fails to look for something positive, your heart has HOPE and it keeps you going... :)

Very great thoughts and the thing that struck me was how Americans respect their war heroes and how do we do in India? Naming a road or street after a martyr and thats it.

the families suffer, the children dont get education and the bureaucracy eats up the pride the family of soldier once had !!!

the pic looks awesome. Can't guess how you got that effect on the print.

@xh
yes I agree, but sometimes what seems right today might not be tommorow and vice versa....we have to just do what the heart tells us at that moment

ceedy said...

@lena
thanks for sharing that - its is so true - do what the heart tells you ....

@anonme
thanks and thanks for visiting hope to see you often

@teddy
thank you for your generous thought - yes it is a very different story back home....like every other aspect where there is no respect for people who serve the country

@preethi
thanks
I did not do anything spectacular - the wall is shiny reflective black granite so the reflection is true - stood very close to the wall - that way my profile is dark and the camera is held at chest height on a timer.........
the bright back light helped to create the effect

Time! Always defines a thread gap between the past - present - future. I wish I could walk along the thread and keep swinging from one state to another! But I can't!

I always think of the adage,
"Every cloud has a silver lining" in times of distress.
