Was tagged by Neeku few weeks back to write a Short Story on my favorite color. It is a tough tag and I have written and deleted two stories as they did not seem to make sense. Will give it one more try and post something soon.
Meanwhile yesterday a friend forwarded this video - maybe many of you have already seen it - but for the benifit of those who havent - sharing it here - its a real eye opener and worth "watching".
Am thankful today that I can see the COLORS of life.

there are myriad emotions running thru me right now...those boys were so happy even with their inabilities and there are still others who have everything and yet don't know its worth...

oh god- and to think of how we abuse our eyes by looking too closely at our PSPs and reading well into the night or watching movies after a hard day's work at the PC and driving all around town at all times of day.

We cannot thank enough to HIM for the way we are blessed ... when i see some small children begging alms on signals etc ... i just try to compare ... wat was i doing when i was of this age ... probably crying for not eating the healthy food items prepared for me ... or crying for not going to school etc ...
But sadly most of us take for granted all the comforts we have got in life and whine about trivial things ...

it is a video set in a school - where these kids play holi and there is a fun banter...
till the end - where you find out that it is a school for the BLIND....and the kid asks - kaka rang kitne rang ke hote hao???
and then we realize how lucky we are....to have vision....and then a message to register your eyes for donation.

I am getting ready to leave for a couple of months I am going on a mission sooooooo I will prolly not be back until Nov.. Or until I cry for a shower, chocolate, curling iron, makeup, SHOPPING! anything but tennis shoes! hahahaha!
I am going to be roughing it, building things, feeding people and hopefully they will let me ride a Zebra, Rhino or something! I have needs and This is one of them I need to tell my story about riding this animals, How I was Victorious and rode them and lived to tell about it! ya know????? LOL!!
